oh well.. submission's supposed to be tml , tuesday, but thanks to Prof Chen, its pushed to Friday.. (there goes my sleep for the next few nights.. and my mugging time. sian)

hope it lasts.. Enyu's strap snapped and Jx was telling how lousy the cover is .. and might fall off (his did.. and he's damn sian abt it.. since its a gift from his other half..)

2) new phone...
well.. its my dad.. he's got himself a new phone when he renewed his starhub contract.. and he passed it to me cos he's already using another new one that he bought when his samsung fone died on him.. only problem now is that i can't send out mms cos it has starhub mms settings and i'm a singteller..

3) new radar Oakleys ... metallic red wif vr28 lens =)
i've been contemplating about buying a pair for a while ... Yekai and Jinhan been talkin abt it for weeks and trying to jio the rest of the batch to buy.. but then its kinda expensive if you are talkin abt a brand new pair .. (abt 360++ monies) ... Thanks to Wilfred.. i managed to get this at 230. Its a solemn metallic red combi with vr28 lens (brownish red).. i think its good.. it anint too loud to wear out.

4) Picture of Cheesecake in phone...
well.. dats my dad's project for this week.. he baked 2 apple cheesecakes on saturday, made Muah Chee yesterday and is making meat bao today.. lol. Keep it up Pa, i can help you with the eating. haha.

anyway, the cheesecake is nice. One thick layer of cheese and the apples dipped in cinnamon and brown sugar complements the cheese as well..

My Dad, the Copy Ninja Chef

mmm... one of my dad's hobbies is cooking. He enjoys watching cooking variety shows and when he sees something that might taste really nice, he will try his hand at cooking it.


His latest 'copy stunt' was to replicate this baked potato sold by the Yes! Asian Café at the AMK Hub as shown on the show Food Detectives, shown on Channel 8. On my way home on Friday, i got some of the 'real' baked potatoes for him to try.. haha.. and this is what i have waiting for me at home after training today.

haha, i think presentation wise, my dad still needs to work on it. and i didn't take a nice picture of my dad's work but it quite nice actually.. he did one with chicken filling and another with fish...
I hope he can come up with a re-make of it soon.


On Friday evening, i also went out with my jc classmate Nicholas to Ministry of Food (MOF) at Parco Bugis. I've been looking for a chance to head out with somebody and have some good food.. as well as steal away from my books for a while and catch up with my close friends.

In my opinion, the food wise is comparable to Waraku but maybe most of the selection are quite common and a lil pricey... ambience wise, it is a nice place for dinner, esp at the window seats. What makes this place ring is it's selection of desserts.. It has a wide range of desserts from authentic red bean and green tea ones.. to fresh fruit soft serve selections.. I think girls will like this place bah.

Co-incidentally, i found out that Denny and Denny -sao was also having dinner at the same place .. It was only as he was walking out then i realised he was sitting behind me all along.. lol. so qiao.

itadakimasu! Seafood Toji and Tonkatsu Toji.

Mixed seafood with Egg sauce and Fried Pork Cutlet in Egg sauce. Please order the Tonkatsu Toji.. its cheaper and tastier. I felt kind of ripped off eating a few clams and some prawns for the Seafood Toji. urgh.

Last but not least..
i would like to say.. this is cool dance sequence by John Travolta. I like his cool facial expression when he does his twist sequence alongside Uma... i think i will go get the Pulp Fiction DVD.. watching this once during class is definitely not enough.

Time for some blog catch up..

After dinner, we decided to explore the nearby Alexandra Arches, Henderson Waves and Forest Walk.. Do a bit of research for 'next time... for our future halves' Wah. its a damn long walk lah

Time really flies.. Its been 2 weeks after recess week.. and i'm finally done with my quizzes.. Now i'm left with 3 more assignments - my lab report, my 3001 Control assignment and 3011 Wheelchair project.. and looking at my calendar.. its only another 5 more weeks to exams! Die.

No time, no time man.. anyway, these was what that happened over the last 4 weeks...

Recess Week

I learned that Ella, ella, ella eh eh does not qualify as a rhyme to Umbrella. Thanks Yekai.. hahahaha (Cinderella, Zebra and nutella do though...)

Recess week totally sucks. We had our annual dragonboat initiation for the juniors.. then had a 'maaa bo' night. Had quite a fun time playing those card games during the drinking session. But.. after that night, i have to call in sick for that week's leg of the SDBA Masters' Series.. I developed a bad case of throat infection and started to have a bad sore throat. Besides that, i also started to have splitting headaches and a blocked nose... sian.

So.

I went to see the doctors. I didnt go to the medical centre in school though. Went to the Acumed at Boon Lay Mrt.. got my medicine... and.. my condition worsened instead. I don't know why, but i started to vomit and develop gastric flu from taking the medicine and i had no choice but to return home to consult my family doctor for a second round of checks. sian.

All in all, i spend most of my recess week sleeping and rest.. losing lots of time to study and head out with my friends in that one week of study break. sucks. The biggest let down was missing the rollerblade outing with my Db friends. I would have enjoyed myself out there man.. was looking forward to it for a while since I don't really have the time to go out often and do something fun.. I'm always stuck in school doing some homework or having training.

Elmer's Birthday

Walking through the Telok Blangah Hill, Forest Walk from Alexandra Arches to Hendenson waves is nice until you remember that some psycho dumped a lil gal's body on that hill.. urgh.

Star of the Night, Crabs!

My study buddy and good friend, Elmer's birthday fell on the Monday of the recess week.. despite not feeling very well.. i still went out to celebrate with him though since birthdays only come once for everyone. My camera died halfway so i didn't manage to get good pixs of my adventure that night.

Thanks to Wen hui, we were able to drive in his dad's car and we went to Pasir Panjang's Food Centre to have some cheap seafood... (well not exactly cheap arh... but good enough).. Besides the usual fanfare, we also had some black pepper crab.. shiok man. haha.

Think we covered 5km or something from the Arch to the Henderson Waves through the Forest tree top trail.. i wonder how do they actually build the Waves even since its suspended several meters high up. Anyway, its quite a majestic structure as it really resembled waves.

Overall, i was quite happy that night since i satisfied as i finally got to visit the bridges after reading about them on newspapers every now and then.. Along the way, we also passed by people having 'fun' in their cars

Interview

it might be a blessing in disguise

Result: I don't think i will get it. or any other exxonmobil project.. Although the actual results will be out in december, but my friend already gotten the acceptance email into their program..

My interview didn't go well at all. I guess i focused on the wrong stuff to prepare and i don't think i answered the questions well enough and left the wrong impression on the interviewers. Oh well.. I think its a good experience overall anyway. Thanks to those that helped me.

all this might be a blessing in disguise..

At the interview, the interviewers said that we may be required to stay on for 7 days a week instead of the initially required 6. Siao eh. liddat no life le, can't go training .. dats it. I'm both happy and sad. Happy that i most prob will have an easier job and go back school for training but sad that i can't get into this big company which can be a plus for me when i head out to work in 2 year's time, seeing that my grades aren't anywhere good.

Hope i can get CAAS now.. my 2nd choice. I think it would be fun there. haha. i think i will take pictures at the airport in my free time there. hah.

It seems like 3 weeks has passed since i last blogged... well.. i'm still damn bloody busy with my work and i will post a proper update abt my sick cat adventures during recess week, interview

after my upcoming quiz this week..

Currently, i'm still stuck with 3 assignments/ projects and 1 quiz .. zzz. dats alot of work with 4-5 more weeks of school left before the exams. (uh huh.. raise the alarm.. its time for some fire fighting)
