I think this would be a good time to update about the happenings over the past two weeks...

Last Thursday, i had my first major meeting with my Fyp Prof. It was a co-op meeting held together with all the different final year students under him, together with his phd student; our mentors. As he run down the list of project descriptions he also stated his expectations for us... one such .. was to send our product for fabrication before the exams commence in Nov... and to complete at least 65% of it before Sem2 starts.

Meeting him again straight after the meeting to discuss about it in further with my fyp partner (he will be designing the mechanism whereas i will be developing the control devices mainly), it seems he has set great sights in what he would want us to achieve.

With less than 3 months to the start of the exams... well.. i guess there's much work to be done..

***

Just had a db meeting earlier on in the evening today...
there's this talk on TJ during the Sept term break... i think looking at the workload that i have, i should be subjective rather than push it, as a student athlete and 'ne si' go for this meet. Prof Low may have something planned for me and my fyp mate.

Although right now i'm wrestling with this tinge of regret that if i may be missing out alot if i skip this outing, but i think if i went, i know that i shall be fretting over my fyp instead of working out on the boats there... don't think that would be productive.

Just hope it won't affect my juniors' chances of heading there without me...

GaH! GAh! RAwR!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie...the idea was simple and sweet (i think it can be quite tear jerking actually.. hah.. must be the music) ... based on a plot involving an old man's love for his late wife and his desire to fulfill one of her wishes and the spade of unexpected events that came along while doing so...

Michael Giacchino (he did the music for Ratatouille too) did a good job with his cords for this movie...To think of it, i've always enjoyed OSTs over theme songs in movies..although you may say .. they are just background music...

I'm glad i caught it instead of g.i.joe over last weekend though i believe g.i.joe would be a smash too....

anyway, go catch Up! before the balloons run out of helium...

J..Thanks for joining me in our adventure....

Lee Wee Nam = Wall Street?

Lee Wee Nam looked like Wall Street, with all the brokers and investors looking intently at their shopping lists to be called up. School starts officially today and everybody was scrambling around to get their notes from the library... the sound of heavy feet pounding on the stairs leading to the lecture halls and the noisy chatter of friends complaining about their subject add/drop woes.

With a reluctant heart, i checked into my hall last night and spent the night cleaning up the previous' semester's mess. My only consolation were the new clothes and bags from my Taiwan trip and a memento from my gf.. sigh.. gone are the days where i can wake up late and then head over to town to meet my her for dinners/ movies...

Hello Year 4. FYP. major PE. Major stress.
It feels weird to be finally be on top of the academic (food)chain in the school...

but somehow, with this ring on my finger.. there's this beacon of hope that everything would just be fine...

i love you ... Thanks for having me in your thoughts always. I think of you and you give me the energy to go on.
