i sing you to me ...

mmm sorry for the long hiatus ... i've been rather busy with my ia work, ia report and trainings so i couldn't find the time and the mood to blog though much have happened within the past few weeks.
as the guys finished their exams in the last few days last month, it also spells the deadline for my ia report which is due next week when i head back to school for my 2nd ia evaluation. it also marks the start of the intensive trainings from this month till the competition next month..

since the guys' exams back in school, i've picked up on the draft where i left off earlier and went full throttle on finishing it. during that time, i was so hell bent on completing it that all i could think of everyday was just my report and nothing else. though it is nothing compared to the work my friends have to endure pushing for their exams, but it was quite taxing for me nonetheless cos i found myself unable to relax at all and my mind strained from thinking of what to write for my ia report everyday. .. i guess i also added additional pressure on myself to complete it asap since i would also like to just focus on just training for the race and doing my hall foc logo which i've been neglecting. i felt like a robot those days. hence the earlier semi emo entry. wish i can go holiday sia.

it felt good when i could see the finished product on tues. i could finally relax a lil and free my mind from the strain of not completing the ia report on time. right now, i'm still adjusting into a more relaxed mood and tune my mind to focus on trainings...

thanks for all the jiayous and all the encouragement and the company for my report writing hohoho.
yes lah. now jus need to wait for my supervisor to help me vet through and lemme know how i can improve.

as part of the program to kick start the training schedule, i also had a team bonding camp last weekend together with the girls. As i travelled back to school after work for the camp , an unexplainable surge of emotions filled me... a sense of pride and glory that i need to protect , a sense of responsibility that i have to play an important part in.. its time to fight.
heading back and seeing everybody on the first night was great. it was quite some time since we last met and its a lil wierd cos i use to meet the guys each week had the usual meeting and we finished the night with a gathering at mayflower... had a round of drinks and some snacks before headin to the sun for some ice cream...
the day activities were quite fun too and it was good sweatout session for the gym and the ultimate frisbee on the second day.. think we shld just play touch rug next time man.
but though it was fun, this camp was also a prelude to what it would be next year when most of my batch has already graduated and moved on to the working society. already during the games, you can see the difference when we split up between the left and right rowers.. there's only me for my batch left ... and when the night came, you could almost see how much this difference was... most of those graduating were out either at their grad dinner, friend's wedding or rom or just occupied with some other commitments... the remaining people for the camp barely filled up the activity room... sian. a lil sad. but still. this will come soon enough. might as well get used to it. it would be jus me, enyu, denny, jh and jx from my batch.
anyway, the night training sessions also started with the first one on tuesday... glad that the attendance was good though.. hope today's session would be even better..

mmm. as for the period of time before last week, before last week.. i guess the most interesting thing i did was to explore one of the places i been wanting to go. me and my friends went there on the may day holiday for a breakfast...

Prive bakery!
located at Keppel Bay Marina, near vivo actually.
i read about how nice the ambience was and that the brunch was good this and that.. and yeah i was quite pleased with how the place was when i arrived.

the breakfast sets were quite filling, had i think the prive breakfast set. (dunno what is the actual name) but its has sausages, mushrooms, garden greens and you can choose the way you want ur eggs to be done. this similiar set comes with a seafood variant too.

the pancakes were fluffy enough in my opinion.. and adding the syrup.. it was heavenly. haha.

try the chocolate banana milkshake there too.. its smooth and creamy. yummy.

think the other highlight there was that we saw daniel ong and JAMIE TEO. hohoho.. she's still pretty even though she didnt look like she woke up properly yet.

i think the place is a great place to have a breakfast date on a nice sunny morning. just bring your shades if you happen to sit outside. you might wana come a lil earlier too if you are lookin to chorpe a place near the counter.

think my only complains were the service there. well.. most of the staff were courteous but they are mostly circling the tables near the counter inside. being seated outside, me and my friends were more or less left on our own and we have to personally walk to the service staff if we required something. not that we really mind but its just a 'not so good' thing. also though they were quite speedy in serving their food from the kitchen, they will take a long time to send your other if you ordered cakes instead. we were particularly put off by the fact that we have to remind the service staff a few times and wait close to half an hr for one of our cakes that was lost in the transition before we finally gave up and decided to close our bill. Only just before the bill come then did they sent our order.

we just heck it , told the guy to send it back. closed the bill and left the place. we weren't dat angry arh but just felt it was a blemish to eating over at this nice place. it was ard 80 bucks for 3 people. i think its an okay prize bah. considering where it was.

i think its a plus if you got a car to drive in to this place else u will have to walk a bit and then it might be better if you ordered ALL your food before you send the waiter / waitress off... anyway. its still a nice place to have some food and i believe it should be nicer to eat the place at nite when the lights are up by the marina.

btw. there's also a tcc on the 2nd floor of the marina club. so there's at least an alternative besides the prive bakery and the restaurant itself. it should be cheaper by a bit.

anyway, to end off. its been a tiring period. but i'm happily being tired. =)
